Umbrete - Sevilla

To 14.5 km from Sevilla, in the heart of Aljarafe, we can find Umbrete, one of the ancient towns that has participated in all the cultures that were moving in the possession of the region.

The central area is located in the middle platform of Aljarafe, and has an altitude of 123 metres above sea level.

Umbrete has a population of 6,117 inhabitants, according to the census of 2005. It displays coordinates 37 ° 22 'north latitude and longitude 6 º 09' west. Cocido con tagarinas. Guisantes a lo que sea. Cúcharo (bread, oil, vinegar, egg, tuna and onion). Chicken with Almonds. Papas a lo pobre. Rabbit with fava beans.

Sweets: Roscos amelaos con azúcar. Tortas de aceite, manteca y naranjas. Poleá.

How to get there

You can get Umbrete by the motorway A-49, from Sevilla or Portugal and Huelva, in the exit 11. Another option is for the old road of Sevilla-Huelva, the N-630, take the ramp as a detour Espartinas  (N-431), which lies between this town and Sanlúcar la Mayor.
