Ojen - Málaga
The village of Ojen can be found ten miles northeast of on the inland route which connects with Malaga. Ojen sits adjacent to the Arroyo de Almada, in a very peaceful land rich in water, surrounded by the Sierra Blanca, which is owned by the IARA, and Alpujata and is rich in iron ore, nickel, lead, talc and dunite. The Peñoncillo iron mine was exploited by an English company and employed many people from Ojen and Marbella. The proximity of the sea gives has a temperate climate, despite it being a typical mountain village. The mountains of Ojen have great Mediterranean forests of oaks, cork oaks, pines, agaves and cacti, coming right to the edge of the road.
The village of Ojen stands 310 metres above sea level, recording an average rainfall of 800 l/m2 and an average temperature of 17 º C.

Ojén cuisine is characterized by the use of self-produced natural products such as legumes, vegetables, game, goat cheese, milk and fruit. These products made rich dishes such as boiled soup or broth soup, peas with rice or noodles, bean pipeao, fennel bolus, rice with cod and almond gazpacho.
Is also typical of the cuisine the rabbit with tomato and partridge stew.
As for the pastry, there are diferent donuts, cakes, fritters, shortbread, etc.
Directions
From any point of the Costa del Sol, take the motorway A-7 (N-340) to Marbella, from there take the A-355, which is a very well signposted route to Ojén.
