The town of Mollina is located to the north of Málaga to 60 Km. from the capital, surrounded by the towns of Humilladero, Fuente de Piedra, Alameda and Antequera and to 480 metres above sea level.
The city centre is located to 480 metres above sea level, the average annual rainfall is 500 l/m2 and its temperature is 15,5º C
The lack of natural barriers turns it into an area easily accessible that increases its income of position. We have to emphasize the important role that has the motorway A-92 that links the town with the Antequera, (16 Km.) and, beyond the regional boundary with Sevilla and Granada, and with Málaga (through the N-331). Other secondary communications are the branch that links Mollina with the N-331 (road of Córdoba) and another local road that links it with Alameda.
It has a typical production of the Mediterranean agriculture: cereal, olive tree and vine, together with other varieties of minor importance to its economy.

In Mollina we can taste its homemade cold meats, the fried breadcrumbs and hot porrillas, gazpacho and the fritter in summer and the gachas de mosto.
As for the confectionery we have to emphasize its pestiños (honey-coated fritters), borrachuelos, fairycakes, the buns and bread rolls at Christmas.
How to get there
If you leave from Málaga, you have to take the motorway A-45 (N-331) until the vicinity of Antequera, where you have to take the motorway A-92 towards Sevilla. Then you have to take the exit towards Mollina
