Lupión
Lupión is located to the north-west area of the region of La Loma y Las Villas. Its municipal district goes down from East to West towards the River Guadalimar, where we can find the second city centre of the town, called Guadalimar.
The olive grove, that is almost single-crop farming, together with the mill for making olive oil industry, is the main source of income in the place that is complemented with the income coming from the cotton cultivation carried out in the fertile lowland of the River Guadalquivir.
The first human settlements date from the Prehistoric Period because of the remains found in its municipal district.
During the Roman Age it is believed that it had entertainment houses from Cástulo.
The region of La Loma, became independent from thanks to a loan of 6.000 copper coins real given by Juan Arredondo.

Flat cakes of Carda, made with dough, but thinner. We also recommend tasting the Morrococo, a mix of chickpeas, tomato and onion.
How to get there
You have to exit Jaén and continue in J-14. Then take the Motorway A-316 towards Mancha Real - Baeza - Úbeda. Alleyway of Puente Nuevo. Then turn left in JV-3043. Alleyway of Begíjar. Then you get Lupión.
