Lahiguera
Lahiguera is a little town located in the east of La Campiña. The city centre is in the top of a hill from where you can see the River Guadalquivir, to the north, and the mountain ranges of Jaén, to the south. It is an agricultural town that has the 100% of its lands cultivated, taking the olive grove the 80% and the herbaceous cultivations the 20%, that we can find them in the banks of the Salado de Arjona. The main economic activity of is the olive growing, the oil industry and the kitchen units.
Lahiguera has a Roman name. It depended on until the XVII century and it belonged to La Orden de Calatrava. It changed its name of Higuera de Arjona for La Higuera.

How to get there
You have to exit Jaén and continue via J-14. In the roundabout, you have to take the exit 2 and continue in E-902 / A-44 towards Bailén - Madrid. Then continue in the Motorway A-316 towards Torredelcampo - Córdoba. Take the exit 60 - Jaén (Centre) - Fuerte del Rey - Andújar. Continue in the Motorway A-311 towards Fuerte del Rey. Then you get Lahiguera.
