The origin of Jun dates back at least to Roman times and then it had to be one of the many farmhouses that Muslims built around Granada, in all the area where you could hear the ringing of the bell of the Torre de la Vela de la Alhambra.
Its real development, however, has taken place in the last third of the twentieth century having become a ‘dormitory town’ for many ‘Granadinos’ working in the capital and others who have built a second home here, hence the appearance of numerous developments despite its lack of land area, and the many modern buildings in the old town.
