Estepa - Sevilla

The town of Estepa is located in the vicinity of the Southern Highlands, in the south-eastern province of Sevilla, with borders with Córdoba.

In Estepa have passed almost all ancient civilizations, leaving traces of its culture.
Its strategic and advantageous position in height, near important roads explained these settlements.

The region of Estepa is located in the southeast corner of the province of Sevilla, in thetransition between the countryside, associated with depression of the Guadalquivir, and the first Subbéticas spurs.

Geologically, the Southern Highlands originate in sediments accumulated during the Mesozoic. Its calcareous composition has led to the formation of caves and shelters thatcould be used at different times.
