El Cuervo - Sevilla
The town of El Cuervo is located at the southern tip of the province of Sevilla, with bordering Cádiz. Its lands occupy the space of transition between the countryside and marshes. In 1996 it had 7,588 inhabitants.
The first settlements in the El Cuervo date back from the early XX century, around what was the post house catering to travellers.
However, the highest population growth takes place during the fifties-sixties, due to strong demand for agricultural labour force to meet the many agricultural tasks were performed on the farms in the area.
The core population of El Cuervo has developed into what was part of the municipality of Lebrija, depending on municipal services directly from this Town Hall. The discrimination suffered by people from El Cuervo during these years led people to demonstrate in favour of segregation, becoming independently City Council December 19, 1992.

El Cuervo de Sevilla is famous for its excellent bread, well known by everyone. Among the typical dishes include "La Puchera" and fried garlic. They are also very typical of El Cuervo de Sevilla the rosquetes, sweets that are eaten mainly at Easter.
How to get there
You have to exit Sevilla, take the Avenida de Jerez. Then take: E-5 / N-IV. Cross Bellavista. Take: E-5 / N-IV. Alleyway of Dos Hermanas, take the exit towards Jerez-Cádiz, then take E-5 / A-4, then E-5 / AP-4 towards Cádiz. Pass near Los Palacios y Villafranca, passing near Las Cabezas de San Juan, toll: 5.30 EUR. Take the salida 53, then N-IV towards El Cuervo.
