El Burgo - Málaga - Serranía de Ronda
El Burgo stands like a sentinel on the eastern edge of the Serrania de Ronda, surrounded by sloping sierras, almost desert-like, consisting of Jurassic limestone, and having rich sonorous names like, la Sierra de las Nieves, Blanquilla, Prieta, Cabrillas and Alcaparacín, bordering the Valle de El Burgo or Turon, whose terraces have a pliocenic formation.
The Valle de El Burgo is bounded to the north and east by the cerros (heights) of Tabique, Rompedizo, los Marques, la Vibora, la Mesa and la Añoreta, to the west and in a north/south direction, by los Cerros de Bolina, del Vienta and de Lifa, to the south and from west to east, by los cerros de Castro, Sierra de las Nieves and los Crespos and to the east and south to north, by Melgarejo, Tajo de los Artilleros and las Palomas.

Directions
The most advisable route to follow for access to El Burgo (there are several) is the one that starts in Malaga, where you should take the A-357 towards Campillos. Arriving at Ardales turn onto the MA-446/ MA-445 (same road with name changes according to where you are), which goes directly to El Burgo.
