Andalusian Farmhouse in Sierra Morena - XVIII Century - 247 Acres Approx.
Córdoba - Andalucía

Hacienda de Olivar is a country residence located between the towns of Montoro and Pedro Abad, next to the Motorway Autovía of Andalucía and to the railway Madrid-Cádiz. We have to add the A road Madrid- Málaga and the N-420.

La Hacienda is located in a hill, inside a forest, olive and cattle farming with more than 100 hectares.

It was built between the years 1778 – 1788, judging by the different inscriptions found in the house and being since then an important agro industrial group, built in an area with 5.099 yards square, (equivalent to 3.572 m2.)

La Hacienda is an architectural group with big proportions and a great and unique constructive richness with floor, a genuine representation of the Haciendas de olivar de la Sierra Morena Cordobesa from the XVIII century.

It was totally made with wooden molinaza ashlars (red), extracted from the quarries of the country state, and worked on by the craftsmen of that period. It follows a formal pattern with marked sobriety.

It is arranged around a spacious courtyard with almost 1.000 m2, paved with pebbles and floor of molinaza. To which you can gain access through the crujía (space between two supporting walls) of the facade (west), through a front (hallway) under semicircular archs completed with a blazoned pediment (with the house Marques del Boil’s coat of arms).
Around the courtyard, that is the main core of the country house, the different rooms are arranged, that results in an organized whole and with a great architectural regularity.

The nave (west) is located to the left, (through a gallery). It is used like a restoration area with its corresponding resources, (magnificent dining room with a chimney, as well as a café, an industrial kitchen, a larder and servants). To the right we can find a cleaning room and the big suite, La Condesa, with more than 110 m2, a hall, the great living room with central chimney to 4 sides, the main bedroom with bathroom and shower of spurts and hydro massage bathtub and a second bedroom with a bathroom.

In the south section (northern) we can find the entrance through a gallery that take us to an independent maisonette, the old “Sacristía (Vestry)” and to the entrance front door of the first owners’ housing. It has a big entrance hall, a molinaza stair with glazed enclosed balcony with a light shaft view, lounge-dining-room with chimney and integrated kitchen, a bedroom with bathroom, the main bedroom with integrated bath and dressing room. In the ground floor we can find a bath and two bedrooms. We also can find the second owners’ housing, an independent apartment with integrated kitchen and a bedroom with bathroom and dressing room. These housings enjoy the sunniest slope and the wide view over the Valle de Guadalquivir.
In this wing we can enjoy the Capilla, whose main entrance, like corresponds to a public space, is opened through a round arch large door and completed with a beautiful bell gable.

The east section is located in the centre, the old Almazara, in a big section with huge size, a large gable end in its façade and the enormous and solid counterweight tower with the four beams. The building has a cellar-museum, several warehouses, toilets, changing rooms and an exit to the gardens, swimming-pool and leisure area.
This Almazara is framed by two perpendicular naves that have 4 suites and a dependent housing of Caseros with back entrance.

Finally in the northern area (north) we can find a top suite in the upper floor and in the ground floor 4 suites fully equipped, one of them for disabled people.

With independent nature (in the outside of the building) located in the old stables, we can observe a splendid stone building with double series of arches pointed of hewn stone and original lumber, where we can find 4 suites fully equipped.
As well as a nave of new floor where it is located the administration office, and another country office. A third owners’ housing with 96 m2 that has a living-dining room with kitchen, chimney, a bedroom with bathroom, and a main bedroom duplex with chimney from the XVIII century (molinaza), bathroom, a porch and a private landscaped area.
