Arcos de la Frontera - Cádiz - Andalucía
7 Bedroom Spanish Guesthouse

Extraordinary 15th-century seven bedroom property, set across five floors, with beautiful internal Andalusian patio, original features and private roof terrace offering stunning 360-degree views of surrounding town and countryside. Currently serving as a family home and guesthouse with all legal paperwork.

This could be your escape from the cold, grey northern climes to a place with more than 300 days of guaranteed sunshine each year. Wake up to beautiful mornings leading into sun soaked afternoons - your dream lifestyle far removed from the stresses of modern day living.

A magical, spiritual, romantic haven awaits you in Arcos de la Frontera, capital of the famous 'white villages', in sunny southern Spain.

The Property

The house dates back to the 15th century, and quite possibly to the era of Moorish occupation, and has unusually high vaulted ceilings and spacious rooms. There are two double bedrooms en suite, a separate apartment (with two bedrooms, lounge and bathroom with a bath). The ground floor, which currently serves as the family home, has three bedrooms, a bathroom, a lounge and a kitchen / dining room.

The traditional rustic kitchen, sympathetically refurbished, and the ample dining area exude all the charm of Andalusian living, using carefully selected local materials such as brick, tile and marble. Wrought iron clad double doors open out onto a pretty narrow street bring the authentic Spanish feel even closer.

There is a four-tiered large and private roof terrace with a magnificent view of the church, lake and Sierra de Grazalema mountain range. This provides the perfect setting for the current B&B guests to relax and unwind. Equally it could provide the perfect venue for retreats, small conferences, painting groups or your bespoke dream business in the sun.

The roof terrace has a large selection of potted plants collected over the years, including lemon, orange and olive trees, geraniums, cacti and herbs. From here you, your family and guests can enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding countryside - perfect for breakfast, barbeques or dinner parties - as you drench yourself in the unique light of the area (from which the Costa de la Luz gets its name - Coast of Light).

There is a local farmers' market within two minutes' walk of the house, along with a pastry / bread shop, a butchers, fishmongers and tobacconist, plus many bars, restaurants and even a junior school (age 3-11).

The ample lounge provides a tranquil and cool retreat from the sizzling summer temperatures. The high vaulted ceilings and thick ancient walls maintain an even temperature in the property all year round.
