Aznalcázar - Sevilla
Located in a high place, between the marshes of the Guadalquivir and Aljarafe, and along the Guadiamar River, Aznalcázar is a place with important and valuable relics of the past.
In historical times, Aznalcázar has been an important bastion of defence, satellite communications and crossroads favouring the access of diverse populations, to the marshy pastures and the sea. Thanks to the establishment of the Archaeological Charter of the town highlights the wealth of archaeological sites from all periods.
Much of the 44,000 hectares that make up the municipality of Aznalcázar are found on the territory of the , in the south-western corner of the province of Sevilla. For its part, the town itself, the only institution of population in the county, is located much further north, to the west of the provincial capital, on the western ledge of Aljarafe over the valley of the Guadiamar River.
In 1996 Aznalcázar had 3,387 inhabitants.
Aznalcázar has a great natural wealth, its district has an area of 453.2 km2, occupies a privileged position with respect : 12,000 hectares are located in this park, the largest wetland in Europe, taking much of their land declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.

Gastronomy
Are typical dishes in the municipality of Aznalcazar stews, cooked stews, chipkpeas with thistles, peas with rabbit, hare stew, alcahuciles, etc. It is also typical the Níscalo or Gurumel, is a characteristic pine mushroom. Game meats also are typical in Aznalcázar.

How to get there
From the SE-30, take the motorway towards Huelva by the A-49, who is leaving at the salida 16, towards Benacazón. Go straight over the roundabout behind the Andalusi Park Hotel towards Aznalcázar. Look for the sign "Aznalcázar." Once you get Benacazón, take a traffic light to the left. A few kilometres later you reach the intersection leading into the village.
