Aguadulce - Sevilla

Aguadulce is located in the south-east quadrant of the province of Sevilla. Placed at the feet of the 92 Highway, in the Sierra Sur of Sevilla (mountain range), between Osuna and Estepa. In the middle of the following capitals: Sevilla, Granada, Cordoba and Malaga.

Its origin dates back to the turdetans period, where the city was named Marucca, though other authors name it Ipora, locating Marucca 8 kms from this city. Until the 18th century it belonged to the marquisate of Estepa, and from then it set itself up as municipality. It is said that Miguel de Cervantes spent the night at the inn next to the Blanco river, on his trip from Granada to Sevilla.

On the other hand, Aguadulce's economic life is closely related to Agriculture, specifically the olive tree and the cereal. Its horticultural products, of great prestige, were awarded more than 500 years ago in the "Exhibition of Paris". Town very frequented by the Sevillians of the capital, specially in summertime. This beautiful small town is crossed by the Blanco river.
